Minecraft Pocket Edition update

The next update for the Minecraft: Pocket Edition is right around the corner as Mojang provided details Monday on what is being added to the iOS and Android version of the game.
The 0.5.0 update for Minecraft: Pocket Edition adds a handful of new features including painting, the Nether Reactor, Melons and the dreaded Zombie pigmen. More importantly, Mojang has tweaked the mechanics to allow hearts to be restored while sleeping in a bed and food restores more health as well.
There are some 30 bug fixes in the 0.5.0 update that prevents everything from players flying out of the world to fixing various sounds and crashes.
Mojang has submitted the Minecraft: Pocket Edition to be released and expects it to land in the iTunes store and Google Play some time in mid-November.
Here is the complete list of changes coming with the 0.5.0 update for Minecraft: Pocket Edition.
New features:

• Melons

Tweaks:

• Restore hearts when sleeping in bed
• Food now restores more health
• Tweaked the fog to make the game less foggy
• It is now easier to get out a bed

Bug fixes:

• The game could crash when loading a saved game [MCPE-442]
• Animals would sometimes never respawn in a map [MCPE-272]
• Using an item could sometimes attack animals/players when not facing them [MCPE-269]
• Spawning by a bed sometimes resulted in the player being several floors up from it [MCPE-51]
• Seeds would drop below grass block when using the hoe [MCPE-7]
• About 25 additional bug fixes
