Resident Evil 6 hands-on preview (+ video)

For some time now, we already suspected that Resident Evil 6 would be wider than any game in the series before him (and by proxy, the most action games), but so far, only we were able to make this assumption through indirect observation. The trailer here, an interactive developer there demo, but only a second practical time. Fortunately, our first time with the game was extensive, as we try out each of the campaigns, discovering the similarities and differences in playstyle each Zombie Hunter.

The most balanced of the three protagonists is Chris Redfield, surprisingly. While previous video presented a detailed style-and-gun, favela roof full of mutant creatures Chinese gun-toting, wearing the mask of porcelain, made for a tense setting that felt a lot like an extension of the views of Resident Evil 4 Spanish scary.

The disordered nature of the battlefield (with areas of construction, roofs of different heights and outcrops serving as lid) could have done for navigation as scary as the undead, but we were very thankful to find that Re6 employs a Dead Space-esque-directional signage. While the previous album of Chris on Resident Evil 5 might have skimped on some of the key elements of survival-horror, it definitely is making a case for having the most robust Re6 campaign.

Mission of Leon Kennedy was the same that we observe from Afar in Captivate. Maybe because we were already familiar with the scene, we didn't get the same level of fear. Atmospheric, and was definitely the slower pace allowed us to take much more frightening sights (the empty Banquet Hall is scary yet), but we were a little put off by the lack of gunplay, as nearly complete roughly half of our time with the campaign could not run and is our only enemy came during the final 20% of demo. When we did to the garage, we enjoy taking the infested up-to-date combat of RE4, which enabled us to finally shoot while moving and/or participating in attacks particularly brutal de Leon.

Last but not least, we are involved in an action-fest with Jake Muller (aka Wesker Jr.). Jake of the campaign is the fastest-paced of the flock, jumping from a crazy Chase events and style weapon slightly-faster-paced. High intensity action also came with higher stakes, as deaths were doled out faster and more furious. In fact, one came within 20 seconds of start your demo! If the final version can manage to find the right balance (and employ judicious salvamento automático), we are certainly interested in trying out this take on Uncharted-esque survival horror.

Eager Xbox players will have their own chance to experience Resident Evil 6 (possibly the same parties we sampled at E3) when the demo drops to purchasers of Dogma of the dragon on 3 July. In General, however, we are less than four months to finally start dropping on this trio of adventurers, and we look forward to even bigger bites of zombie action.

NBA Baller beats hands-on preview (with official trailer!)

E3 2012

When this rhythm game Kinect basketball was first announced, it seemed to have more snarky comments from the Internet, the number of shots, Kobe Bryant leads during the NBA Playoffs. In particular, hating Kinect comedians postulated about HDTVs and comradeship apartment neighbor is being destroyed by basketballs retrograde and booming soundtrack of the game, respectively. After having spent almost an hour with this unique experience, we can say that while the game is really high, you can be sure that your entertainment center is secure, and for all the comment trolling, this game can really teach you some very cool.

NBA Baller Beats is basically an aros version-infused Dance Central. Instead of setting double Dig Ems on the dance floor, you'll be bouncing a basketball and doing tricks like dribbling flow, direct pump fakes and junctions, Hopkins back, all in time with classical music and modern hits. The interaction of soundtrack is presented similarly to Rock band, like a basketball will be faster down a ScrollBar pace you have to dribble the ball into line with (in other words, when the ball/note crosses the line, the rock hits the ground) when using the right hand.

Fortunately, you do not need to match each unique combination to keep your dribble going, how to play multiplier increases each time you successfully performs a trick. At the easiest levels, you won't have to do much more than from crosses to switch hands dripping and fake passes on your right (so your TV is saved if you accidentally let go of the ball), but increasing the difficulty level will have to play the ball between his legs, tossing it around its trunk or even change the jump progressby changing the dynamics on a dime. If some of the toughest tricks sound alarming, rest assured that every one of the 20 moves can be practiced in the game's expansive tutorials.

Believe it or not, I actually learned quite a bit during our brief time with NBA Baller Beats, as both OXM staff who have experienced the game improvement reported in their skills of finta left. We look forward to keep practicing — although we think we'll buy our neighbors downstairs a six-pack advanced-apology for the first time.
