Vince Zampella of respawn Entertainment, after appearing as a special guest at EA's E3 press briefing, said the CVG that first game their new Studio would have announced "hopefully soon." Zampella's presence at E3 was possible only because of the recent out-of-court settlement from EA with Activision.
First project of respawn for EA is currently thought to be a sci-fi FPS. E3 this year has been heavy on action FPS, with 4 Halo, Black Ops 2 and Crysis 3 dominating the show. When asked if he thought that there might be too many FPS high profile entering the market, said that he didn't see any Zampella problem with an excess of shooter ", since these games are fun."
